Abstract:
The present invention relates to a power generation apparatus for producing electricity through a process in which a windmill mounted at a predetermined height of a building is rotated by valley wind and a process in which water is pumped from a lower position up to the height of a high rise building using electric energy obtained through wind power generation and dropped. The power generation apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a windmill mounted at a predetermined height; wind induction walls mounted around the windmill at a regular interval in positions higher than the windmill so as to induce valley wind towards the windmill and having a water falling path inside for inducing water to fall therethrough; a wind power generator for converting kinetic energy according to the rotation of the windmill to electric energy; a lower reservoir tank mounted at lower parts of the wind induction walls in the shape of a case for receiving a predetermined amount of water; an upper reservoir tank supported on top of the wind induction walls in the shape of a case for receiving a predetermined amount of water; a pump driven by the electric energy produced by the wind power generator to lift the water, stored in the lower reservoir tank, to the upper reservoir tank; a falling water control valve mounted at an upper part of the water falling path for allowing or blocking the falling of water from the upper reservoir tank to the lower reservoir tank; a hydraulic turbine mounted at a lower part of the water falling path to be driven to rotate by the water falling down from the upper reservoir tank; a hydro generator for converting kinetic energy according to the rotation of the hydraulic turbine to electric energy; and a controller for controlling the operation of the pump and the water falling control valve according to the water levels of the upper reservoir tank and the lower reservoir tank.
