Title:
POWER GENERATION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HYBRID VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/199194
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a power generation control system for a hybrid vehicle, which ensures necessary electric power for the vehicle to start moving from a stopped state. The power generation control system is provided with a first motor-generator (MG1) which is mechanically connected to a driving wheel (19), a second motor-generator (MG2) which is mechanically connected to an internal combustion engine (ICE) and has a smaller power generation capacity than the first motor-generator (MG1), and a high-power battery (3) which is electrically connected to both of the motor-generators (MG1, MG2), whereby when starting, the vehicle starts moving as an electric vehicle using the first motor-generator (MG1) as a driving source. This hybrid vehicle is provided with a hybrid control module (21) for causing, by use of the torque of the internal combustion engine (ICE), at least one of the two motor-generators (MG1, MG2) to generate electric power. When the vehicle is in the stopped state, this module (21) separates the first motor-generator (MG1) from the driving wheel (19) and connects the first motor-generator to the internal combustion engine (ICE), thereby causing the first motor-generator to generate electric power using the torque received from the internal combustion engine (ICE).
