Abstract:
Provided is a power generation device with which a larger power generation voltage can be obtained. The power generation device includes: an operation member to be press-operated; a power generation coil; a magnet forming a magnetic circuit together with the coil; a magnet holder holding the magnet and movable from an initial position with respect to the coil; a first elastic member for providing, to the magnet holder, an elastic force in a direction in which the magnet holder is returned to the initial position; a control member for controlling, in conjunction with the press operation of the operation member, the operation of moving the magnet holder; and a release mechanism which, when the magnet holder moves to a predetermined position, releases the control member from a locking portion of the operation member. The power generation device has a return mechanism in which, when the operation member is press-operated and the magnet holder moves from the initial position to the predetermined position, the magnet holder unlocked from the locking portion by the release mechanism is returned to the initial position by the first elastic member.
