Abstract:
This power generation installation 2 comprises a boiler 14 that generates steam, a steam turbine 22 actuated by the steam, a condenser 26 that condenses exhaust of the steam turbine 22, a cooler 28 that delivers a cooling liquid into the condenser 26, a pressure gauge 48 that measures pressure in the condenser 26, a flow meter 21 for measuring the flow rate of the exhaust into the condenser 26, and a control unit 30 for controlling the cooling capability of the cooler 28 so that the pressure in the condenser 26 reaches a prescribed range in accordance with the flow rate of the exhaust. The cooler 28 is preferably provided with at least one fan 60 that cools the cooling liquid. The control unit 30 preferably controls the cooling capability by controlling the number of activated fans 60 or the rotational speed of the fans 60.
