Description:
POWER GENERATION OUT OF SEA WAVE

Technical field;

The invention is related to power generation out of sea wave.

Background Art;

Currently, power is generated by use of differing techniques and differing resources. However, the resources or techniques that are being used often result in environmental disasters. Prevention of such disasters generally does not become possible by use of current technologies. Those which are possible decrease the efficiency level of investments because they increase the production costs.

Today people have tended towards solar, wind and warm energy being the renewable energy resources in order to eliminate such adversities.

The fact that the waves of the sea have an irregular nature brings about major security issues. With the waves being impossible to be forecast in terms of time, dimension and frequency, concessions have been made from efficiency all the time in production. However, the fact that the big part of the world is covered with seas and the waves are continuous though irregular becomes alluring for people.

With one of the systems that are made use of presently; the edge of boom that is tied to the shore is added a float, the wave that lifts the float at the edge of the boom by Way of the vertical lifting force of the wave carries out fluid pumping by way of moving the pump that has been connected to the boom. This is a safe system. However, its efficiency is low with the heights of the waves on the shores being small and with only the lifting force of the wave being made use of.

In another system that is being made use of, there is a float on the water that is connected to a platform which has been anchored to the bottom of the sea (that remains within water). A pump takes place in between the platform that takes place under the sea and the float that takes place above. It is targeted that production is made via turbines by way of pumping fluid through the pump and obtaining pressurized fluid on the shore. However, with the height of the wave not evident within this system, the stroke sizes of the pump cannot be adjusted as well.

We can meet many examples as such. Objective of the invention;

In our invention; we are passing the fiber rope that we have tied to a static mass having been settled on the sea bottom at depths wi th high waves through a hoop that is present on the float located on the sea and are tying its edge to a dynamic mass smaller than a static mass. While the float moves in the upward direction as the wave comes, the drum hoop rotates and then tlie dynamic mass moves in the upward direction towards the float. When the wave disappears, the dynamic mass draws the float down and then the drum hoop rotates again. At this point, both the arrival and disappearance of the wave result in the action of rotating with tlie drum hoop. Besides, the horizontal movements of the waves though a little raove tire float from the static mass. As the dynamic mass will pull the float towards the static mass when the Wave disappears, more rotation arises with the hoop. With every movement of the dynamic mass bringing about a movement of rotation in the drum hoop, the alternator attached to the hoop shaft starts to rotate and generates power.

The float, hoop, dynamic mass, static mass and alternator should be of a size enabling obtainment of the best efficiency.

With the energy that is produced in the alternator being irregular (due to the irregularity of the waves), it may not he put to use directly. The energy that is transmitted to the shore by getting alternative energy will be converted into direct current and will be made use of both in the battery charge and via invertors by way of being converted into the target regular energy.

The researches that have been done indicate that as the seas are getting larger, the horizontal wave movements are growing as well.

Our invention is the only safe system that can benefit from the three horizontal and vertical movements with the waves efficiently equal to a plastic bottle dial is full of air on the surface of the sea.

Detailed Description;

The invention is related to power generation out of sea wave.

It is characterized with static/eonstant mass (1), fiber rope (2), float (3), drum hoop (4), dynamic/moving mass (5), dram hoop shaft(6),alternator (7), electric cable (8) and invertor (9) .

With the system, the other edge of the fiber rope (2) that has been tied to a static/constant mass (1) having been settled on the sea bottom will he passed through a drum hoop (4) that is present on the float (3) and will he tied to a dynamie/fnoving mass (5) which is lighter than the statie/constant mass (1). Since the dynamic/moving mass ( 5) which is lighter than the static/constant mass (1) will move as the wave comes, the dmm hoop (4) will start rotating. The drum hoop shall (6) will acti vate the alternator (7).

The current that is produced out of the alternator (7) will he put to use after adjusting the voltage and frequency by connecting to the invertor (9) with an electric cable (8).

As has been given above, it is based on the principle of converting of the sea wave into mechanical energy firstly and then electric energy safely.

Industrial Applicability;

With our invention, infinite safety and maximum efficiency are being provided by use of dynamic/moving mass (5) and drum hoop (4) system. No such efficient and safe system has been ever put to use in the world up to now.

It may be put to use in all inland seas and oceans as being too safe and efficient. The system whose installation cost and maintenancWrepair expenses are low' and which is easily controllable ensures sustainability,

Our system has been designed for power generation and usage may be provided in other areas with the dynamic energy that is created on the float (3).
