Abstract:
The present invention relates to a power generation or regenerative braking apparatus which comprises: an induction generator; and a synchronous generator connected in parallel to the induction generator while being connected to the induction generator so as to transfer a rotational force thereto, wherein the number of poles of the induction generator is greater or less than the number of poles of the synchronous generator, and a slip of the induction generator has a minus quantity in an operation state. The power generation or regenerative braking apparatus according to the present invention does not require a supply of reactive power from an external source, and can thus independently perform power generation or regenerative braking.
