Abstract:
A power generation system of a ship, comprising power generation equipment (210) disposed in a transmission route ranging from the crankshaft (202a) of an internal combustion engine (202) to a ship propelling power transmission apparatus (203) and a power generation equipment case member (240) for storing the power generation equipment (210), wherein a plurality of fins (241...) are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the power generation equipment case member (240), the fins (241...) are disposed parallel with the crankshaft (202a), and holes (242...) are provided on the underside of the fins (241...) generally parallel with the fins (241...), the plurality of power generating equipment (210...) is allowed to be disposed in series between the internal combustion engine (202) and the ship propelling power transmission apparatus (203), the internal combustion engine side mounting part (247a) of the power generation equipment case (240) storing the power generation equipment (210) is formed in the same dimensions as those of a power input side mounting part (203d) of the power transmission apparatus (203), and the power transmission device side (203) side mounting part (247b) of a power generation equipment case (240) is formed in the same dimension as those of the power output side mounting part (221b) of the internal combustion engine (202).
