Abstract:
In a conventional technique, when a new energy power plant at another site is interconnected to the same system, it is impossible to suppress a voltage fluctuation caused by an output power fluctuation at the other site, so that it is impossible, due to a reactance existing between a voltage fluctuation suppression point and the confluence of the powers of respective new energy power plants, to obtain the same effect as a voltage fluctuation suppressing effect expected from a single new energy power plant. Therefore, when the resistance component R between the voltage fluctuation suppression point and an infinite bus-line voltage is large or the reactance X therebetween is excessive, there is in principle a limit to the voltage fluctuation suppressing effect. Provided is a power generation system in which a plurality of power plants are connected through respective interconnection transformers to a system and the connection point is connected through an inductance and a resistance component down to an infinite bus line. The power generation system has a control device which includes an active power detection unit and a reactive power command calculation unit, and which transmits a reactive power command to each of the power plants. The active power detection unit is capable of detecting the generated power of each of the power plants. The reactive power command calculation unit calculates reactive power for suppressing voltage fluctuation at an arbitrary voltage fluctuation suppression point caused by the fluctuation of the generated power of each of the power plants, and calculates the reactive power command on the basis of the calculated reactive power.
