Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a power-generating health appliance in which a power generation function is incorporated in the health appliance. More specifically, to provide a power generation unit and a power-generating health appliance that can convert human motion into rotational movement and efficiently generate power on the basis of the rotational movement. [Solution] To solve the problem, the present invention provides a power generation unit for converting human motion into rotational movement and converting the rotational movement into electrical energy, the power unit being characterized in comprising: a rotatably held shaft; transmission means for converting the motion of a moving person into rotational movement and transmitting the rotational movement to the shaft; a flywheel coupled to the shaft; a plurality of magnets that rotate with the rotation of the shaft; a plurality of coils for generating power with the magnets; and a control device for controlling the switching of the electrical connections of the coils on the basis of the rotational speed of the flywheel to control the rotational load on the flywheel.
