Title:
POWER GENERATOR VOLTAGE STABILIZING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2009/139078
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a power generator voltage stabilizing system for compensating for a reactance voltage drop inside a three-phase synchronous generator (1) connected to an alternating-current load (3), a magnetic energy recovery switch (2) provided with a bridge circuit comprising four reverse conductive type semiconductor switches (hereinafter referred to as “switch”), a capacitor that is connected between the direct-current terminals of the bridge circuit to store magnetic energy at the time of current interruption, and a controlling means (4) performing ON/OFF control of the switch by giving control signals to the gate of each switch between the alternating-current load (3) and the three-phase synchronous generator (1) is individually inserted in each phase in series. The controlling means (4) is synchronized with the phase of the output voltage of the power generator (1) to simultaneously turn on/off a pair located on the diagonal line of the switches, and controls the control signals in such a manner that two pairs are not turned on simultaneously. Thereby, the leading reactance voltage is generated to compensate for a reactance voltage drop inside the power generator, when the alternating-current load (3) is suddenly increased.
