Abstract:
Provided is a power leveling device which is capable of narrowing the input voltage range, and improving power conversion efficiency. The present invention is provided with: a power conversion unit (12) which converts the AC power from an AC power supply (11) into DC power, and supplies the DC power to a load; and an electrical storage unit (14) which supplies DC power to the output side of the power conversion unit. The electrical storage unit is provided with: an electrical storage element (14a); a discharging control unit (14b) which is connected between the electrical storage element and the output side of the power conversion unit, and which controls the discharge power in accordance with the output current of the power conversion unit; and a charging control unit (14c) which charges the electrical storage element. When the charging voltage of the electrical storage element is equal to or lower than a set value, the charging control unit converts AC power into DC power, and charges the electrical storage element at a constant power. The discharging control unit is provided with: a voltage division circuit; a current monitoring unit which monitors the output current of the power conversion unit, and extracts current from the voltage division circuit when the output current is higher than a set current; and a discharge current control unit which compares the divided voltage of the voltage division circuit with a set voltage, and generates a discharge command signal.
