Abstract:
When data are transmitted from an external network (4) to a slave CPE terminal, a repeater (REP) receives data to be transmitted to the corresponding slave unit from the external network using an external network communication function (8) and transmits said data to the corresponding slave unit using a power line transmission function (6). When data are transmitted from the terminal to the aforementioned external network, the slave unit corresponding to said terminal transmits the data transmitted from said terminal to the corresponding repeater using the power line transmission function, and said corresponding repeater receives the data transmitted from the corresponding slave unit using a power line reception function (7) and transmits the received data to the external network using the external network communication function. Thus, even when a configuration in which CPEs corresponding to individual REPs are connected to a common HE via multiple REPs is used, communication delay can be reduced.
