Abstract:
Provided is a technique for performing a vehicle power management with a small-capacity storage device. An electric motor (202) is driven using the power stored in a storage battery (201) as a power source. A power management system (100A) is equipped with a power management device (10) and a travel control device (40). The power management device (10) is equipped with a travel control planning unit (1) and a section valid road slope information storage unit (2). The section valid road slope information storage unit (2) stores section road slope information including information about the slope of a road section where a vehicle (B) travels. The travel control planning unit (1) creates a travel control plan (P) on the basis of section valid road slope information (Q) read from the section valid road slope information storage unit (2), said travel control plan (P) being used for the vehicle to travel. The travel control device (40) performs the travel control of the vehicle on the basis of the travel control plan (P). A downward slope in the travel of the vehicle, indicated by information included in the section valid road slope information (Q), is steeper than a predetermined slope depending on the vehicle.
