Abstract:

This invention makes effective use of electrical power without compromising convenience for the user. This power management system (1) comprises the following: a plurality of rapid chargers (350) that are supplied power by the same power system; and a power management server (310) that manages the supply of power from said power system to the rapid chargers (350). The rapid chargers (350) use constant-current/constant-voltage charging to charge electric vehicles. The power management server (310) has the following: a charging-period identification unit (312) configured so as to identify, for each rapid charger (350) in the process of charging, whether said rapid charger (350) is in a constant-current charging period or a constant-voltage charging period; and a power-allocation determination unit (313) configured so as to allocate power, to at least one rapid charger (350) in the process of charging in a constant-current charging period, from the other rapid chargers (350) in the process of charging.
