This power outlet includes a case, a contact device, an operation member, a movement mechanism, a return spring, and a holding mechanism. The contact device includes a fixed contact, a movable contact, and a movable piece. The operation member can move relative to the case. The movement mechanism moves the movable piece in accordance with an operation of the operation member. The movement mechanism includes a movement member and a return spring. The movement member can move to a closed position where the movable contact is brought into contact with the fixed contact, and an open position where the movable contact is separated from the fixed contact. The return spring is a separate member from the movable piece and urges the movement member toward the open position. The holding mechanism can hold the movement member at the closed position and releases, in accordance with an operation of the operation member, the holding state in which the movement member is held at the closed position. When the holding state is released, the movement member is moved from the closed position to the open position by the urging force of the return spring.
