Title:
POWER OUTPUT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/043514
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A power output device which is capable of transmitting rotation inputted into a rotating shaft to a wheel with a large speed reduction ratio and which can be reduced in the number of parts and size. An electric motor (4) is connected to the inboard side end part of a casing (1) secured to a vehicle body, one end part of the rotating shaft (11) is connected to the rotor (7) of the electric motor (4), and eccentric shaft parts (13a, 13b) are formed at the other end part of the rotating shaft (11) positioned in the casing (1). External gears (16a, 16b) rotatably supported by the eccentric shaft parts (13a, 13b) are meshed with internal teeth (18) formed on the inner periphery of the casing (1) and having the number of teeth larger than that of each of the external gears (16a, 16b). The external gears (16a, 16b) are meshed one by one with the internal teeth (18) and revolved by rotating the rotating shaft (11) to rotate the external gears (16a, 16b) by an amount equivalent to a difference in the number of teeth between external teeth (17) and the internal teeth (18) per rotation of the rotating shaft (11), and the rotating motion of the external gears is transmitted to an inside member (21) through a torque transmission means (30) to rotate the inside member (21) at a reduced speed. The inside member (21) is rotatably supported by double rows of rolling elements (26a, 26b) assembled between the inner member and an outer member (19) installed on the outside of the inside member and connected to the casing (1). The pitch circle diameters of the double rows of rolling elements (26a, 26b) are differentiated from each other, and the rolling elements (26a) with the larger pitch circle diameter are disposed on the external gear (16a, 16b) side to increase the supporting rigidity of the inside member (21). The other end of the rotating shaft (11) is rotatably supported by the inside member (21) to prevent the other end of the rotating shaft (11) from being swung.
