Abstract:
Disclosed is a power output device (1) provided with an internal combustion engine (6), an electric motor (2), and a transmission (20) equipped with two transmission shafts (11, 16) connected to the internal combustion engine (6). The electric motor (2) is provided with a stator (3) for generating a rotational magnetic field, a first rotor (4) which is equipped with a plurality of magnetic pole sections and radially faces the stator (3), and a second rotor (5) which is equipped with a plurality of soft magnetic sections and is installed between the stator (3) and the first rotor (4). It is configured in such a way that the electric motor (2) rotates by maintaining predetermined collinear relationships among the rotational magnetic field speed of the stator (3), the rotational speed of the first rotor (4), and the rotational speed of the second rotor (5). The first rotor (4) is connected to either one of the two transmission shafts (11, 16). The second rotor (5) is connected to drive shafts (9, 9). The other of the two transmission shafts (11, 16) transmits power to the drive shafts (9, 9) without the intermediation of the electric motor (2).
