Abstract:
When the battery state is out of an allowable I/O range, a target rotational speed. Ne* and a target torque Te* are set using the operation line at the time of battery limit where the variation of rotational speed caused by a variation of power becomes smaller than that of the normal operation line by setting a higher rotational speed on the low power side than that of the normal operation line, and the engine or motors (MG1, MG2) are controlled using the target rotational speed Ne* and the target torque Te* thus set. Deficiency of power incident to the response delay of the engine is reduced by enhancing the response of the engine to a variation of the required power Pe*, and the electric power required to supplement the power deficiency using the power from the motors (MG1, MG2) is inputted/outputted within the I/O limits Win and Wout of the battery. Consequently, request power can be outputted smoothly to a drive shaft.
