Abstract:
Provided are a power receiver and power transmission system with which power reception efficiency can be adjusted. This power receiver includes: a secondary-side resonant coil that has a resonant coil part and receives power from a primary-side resonant coil by means of magnetic field resonance generated between the secondary-side resonant coil and the primary-side resonant coil; a first capacitor that is inserted in series into the resonant coil part of the secondary-side resonant coil; a series circuit that comprises a first switch and second switch, said circuit being connected in parallel to the first capacitor; a first rectifying element that is connected in parallel to the first switch and has a first rectifying direction; a second rectifying element that is connected in parallel to the second switch and has a second rectifying direction that is opposite to the first rectifying direction; a second capacitor that is inserted in series into the series circuit; a means for detecting a voltage waveform or current waveform of the same frequency as a power transmission frequency; and a control unit that adjusts the amount of power received by the secondary-side resonant coil by adjusting the phase difference between the detected waveform and a first signal for on/off switching of the first switch and second signal for on/off switching of the second switch.
