Abstract:
The present invention reduces the number of unnecessary processes that occur when a device to be authenticated is not found to be legitimate. A power reception device, which receives power wirelessly from a power transmission device, wherein the power reception device has: an authentication means, which performs a first device authentication on the power transmission device and receives a second device authentication from the power transmission device; and a control means, which performs a control so that when whichever device authentication from among the first device authentication and the second device authentication that is performed earlier is successful, the other device authentication is performed, performs a control so that when the device authentication performed earlier is not successful, the other device authentication is not performed, and determines specifics regarding power reception on the basis of the result of the performed device authentication .
