Abstract:
Provided are a power regulation circuit and a liquid crystal display device; said power conditioning circuit (100) comprises a brightness sensing unit (110), a power-consumption measurement unit (120), a control chip (130), and a voltage regulation unit (140); the brightness sensing unit (110) senses the brightness of a light-emitting unit (200) when it emits light; the power-consumption measurement unit (120) measures to be a first power consumption the power consumption of the light-emitting unit (200) when it emits light; the control chip (130) compares the first power consumption to the minimum power consumption of the light-emitting unit (200) at the current brightness; if the difference between the first power consumption and the minimum power consumption is larger than a preset threshold value, the control chip (130) controls the voltage regulation unit (140) to reduce the magnitude of a first supply voltage and increase the duty cycle of the first supply voltage, so as to cause the light-emitting unit (200) to maintain its brightness and the difference between a second power consumption of the light-emitting unit and its minimum power consumption to be smaller than or equal to the preset threshold value; if the magnitude and duty cycle of the first supply voltage have been adjusted and the brightness of the light-emitting unit (200) has not changed, the power consumption of the light-emitting unit is the second power consumption. The power consumption of the power conditioning circuit (100) and the light-emitting unit (200) of the liquid crystal display device (10) is low.
