Abstract:
A server device 10 is equipped with: an actual power consumption value acquisition unit 311 for acquiring and storing actual daily power consumption values of electric appliances 3 chronologically; a usage-pattern resembling day determination unit 315 for determining a usage-pattern resembling day, that is, a past day showing a usage pattern resembling that of the current day, by comparing the actual consumption value of the current day, that is, the actual consumption value acquired between midnight and the current time of the current day, with past actual consumption values, that is, actual consumption values acquired in the same time period (i.e., between midnight and the current time) of past days; a power consumption estimation unit 317 for obtaining the power consumption of the current day on the basis of the actual consumption value acquired after the current time on the usage-pattern resembling day; an expected effect calculation unit 316 for obtaining the reduced cost of electricity for the current day if a power-saving method is executed after the current time of the current day; and an electricity cost estimation unit 318 for obtaining the estimated cost of electricity for the current day by subtracting the reduced cost of electricity from the cost of electricity obtained based on the estimated power consumption of the current day and information on the unit cost of electricity.
