The purpose of the present invention is to provide a function in which a suitable power source control method is suggested to a user in accordance with conditions such as the operation mode, performance, and set temperature of an air conditioner, indoor air temperature and outdoor temperature, and the length of a period during which operation is stopped. Provided is a power source control guidance device that suggests a power source control method for an air conditioner. The power source control guidance device: calculates a power consumption amount (Ws) that is the amount consumed by the air conditioner when operation of the air conditioner is resumed after having been stopped and a first power source control method for operating the air conditioner is executed until the indoor temperature is approximately the same as the set temperature of the air conditioner and a power consumption amount (Wc) that is the amount consumed by the air conditioner when operation of the air conditioner is not stopped and a second power source control method is continuously executed; compares the power consumption amount (Ws) and the power consumption amount (Wc); and presents a power source control method on the basis of the comparison result.
