Abstract:
In the present invention, autonomous power conservation is conducted. A power source device is provided with a power source frequency monitoring unit, a battery, and a power supply switching unit. The power source frequency monitoring unit compares a reference frequency and a power source frequency, which is the frequency of an inputted power source signal, to monitor changes in the power source frequency. The battery is for a back-up power source. The power supply switching unit switches between supplying power using the power source signal and supplying power using the battery, in accordance with a change in the power source frequency. The power supply switching unit also supplies power using the power source signal if the power source frequency is at or higher than the reference frequency, and supplies power using the battery if the power source frequency is lower than the reference frequency.
