Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for determining installation stability of a power source surge protector, comprising: a detection step of detecting, by a detection unit, a voltage between a phase and the ground and a voltage between a neutral line and the ground and delivering the detected voltages to a microcontroller unit (MCU); and a determination step of comparing, by the MCU, the delivered voltages with a preset reference voltage so as to determine whether a connection between the phase and the neutral line is normal. In addition, the present invention relates to a power source surge protector having improved installation stability, comprising: a detection unit for detecting the voltage between the phase and the ground and the voltage between the neutral line and the ground and delivering the detected voltages to an MCU; an output unit for generating an alarm; the MCU for comparing the voltages delivered from the detection unit with a preset reference voltage so as to determine whether a connection between the phase and the neutral line is normal and generating an alarm through the output unit; and a power source unit for supplying power, thereby determining whether a connection between the phase and the neutral line is normal. According to the present invention, the method for determining installation stability of a power source surge protector and the power source surge protector having improved installation stability, have a significant effect of preventing an accident in advance by informing of changed information through a speaker mounted inside the surge protector and outputting a sound and through a display unit such as an LED, an LCD, or a seven-segment display when a phase and a neutral line are changed due to a worker's mistake.
