Abstract:
This power steering device is equipped with: a steering mechanism 1 which has a steering shaft 4 and a rack bar 7 that turns a steered wheel by moving axially in accordance with the rotation of the steering shaft; an electric motor 9 which has a stator 13, a rotor 14, and a drive shaft 15 rotating integrally with the rotor; an ECU 10 which has a control circuit 32 that controls the drive of the electric motor; a worm gear 11 which transmits the rotation of the drive shaft to the steering mechanism; a housing member 3 which has a reduction gear housing 46, a rack bar housing 47, and a motor ECU housing unit 20 in which the electric motor and the control circuit are housed; and a moisture sensor 50 which has moisture detectors 53, 54 that are provided within the reduction gear housing and transmitters 55, 56 that are connected to the control circuit through the interior of the motor ECU housing unit from the moisture detectors.
