Abstract:
Provided are a power storage device and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein an electrical connection between a current collector and a lead is reliably achieved with small welding energy, a separator is not melted when the current collector and the lead are electrically connected, and thus a positive electrode and a negative electrode can be prevented from being short-circuited. This power storage device is provided with an electrode body, in which positive electrodes and negative electrodes, in each of which an active material layer is formed on a current collector, are laminated with separators therebetween. The current collector on at least one side of the positive and negative electrodes has an uncoated part on which an active material layer is not formed, and a joint part in which the uncoated part and the lead are joined is formed in the current collector. The lead connected to at least one among the positive electrode and the negative electrode has a recess part at a position where the joint part is formed. In a plan view viewed in the thickness direction of the lead, a rectangle having a first width (w1) in one direction and a second width (w2) in the other direction circumscribes the peripheral edge of an opening of the recess part, a rectangle having a fifth width (w5) in one direction and a sixth width (w6) in the other direction circumscribes the peripheral edge of the joint part, and the relationship of w5≤w1 is satisfied.
