Abstract:
This power storage device, which is connected to a load and a power source containing multiple batteries, is provided with multiple battery assemblies containing multiple batteries and connected in series with at least two of said multiple batteries, and is provided with a controller which selects an battery assembly to be equalized from the multiple battery assemblies, and, after cutting off said battery assembly to be equalized from the load and the power source, initializes equalization processing for equalizing the charge state of the multiple batteries of the equalization target battery assembly. Corresponding to the time period, the controller can vary the maximum number of battery assemblies for equalization that can be selected from the multiple battery assemblies. The battery has a cell group comprising multiple battery cells connected in parallel, or has a single battery cell.
