Abstract:
A power storage device is provided with: an electrode assembly; a case having a lid, the case accommodating the electrode assembly; an electrode terminal; a current-interrupting device installed in a conduction pathway; and an insulating member installed inside the case. The electrode assembly has a tab projecting therefrom, and a tab-side end face facing the inner surface of the lid. The current-interrupting device is disposed in a space demarcated between the tab-side end face and the inner surface of the lid, the directions in which the current-interrupting device is connected to the inner surface of the lid and to the tab-side end face at the shortest distance being facing directions. The current-interrupting device has a device end face facing the tab-side end face, and the insulating member has an insulating end face facing the tab-side end face. If it is assumed that the dimension from the inner surface of the lid along the facing direction to the device end face is defined as a first dimension when the current-interrupting device is nearest to the inner surface of the lid, and the dimension from the inner surface of the lid along the facing direction to the insulating end face is defined as a second dimension when the insulating member is nearest to the inner surface of the lid, then the first dimension is less than the second dimension.
