Abstract:
In the inner surface of the lid (4) of a battery (1), a connection piece (30A) formed on one end of a current collector (6A) is laminated on the inner surface of the lid (4) with a lower gasket (40A) between the lid (4) and the connection piece (30A) and is secured, by means of a rivet (10A), to the lid (4) along with a linking body (60A) and an upper gasket (50A) formed on the outer surface of the lid (4). A depression is formed on the long sides (32A) of the connection piece (30A) as a consequence of notched parts (33A) being formed. A section on the main body (41A) of the lower gasket (40A) corresponding to the depressed section of the connection piece (30A) is a non-laminated section (44A) that protrudes further outward than the outer edge of the connection piece (30A).
