Abstract:
Provided is a power storage unit control circuit or a power storage apparatus, wherein, in a power storage apparatus comprising a battery pack that has a plurality of cells connected in series, an issue that dispersion in the voltages or the state of charging that can be induced between the cells can be solved, or the cells can be prevented from being kept in an overcharged state for a long period of time. The battery pack (110) is constituted by having a plurality of cell groups (112), each of which is further comprised of a plurality of cells (111), connected in series. Each of a plurality of cell controlling means (121), provided for each of the cell groups, operate with power fed by the cell group assigned thereto, and monitor and control the cells of the assigned cell group. A battery pack controlling means (150) controls the cell controlling means, on the basis of information received therefrom. When a cell group with a charged state higher than a prescribed charged state exists, the battery pack controlling means makes the cells of the cell group discharge to make the charged state of the cell group lower, during a period when the charging/discharging of the battery pack is in stopped state, by letting the operation of the cell controlling means, which is for monitoring cell groups having a high charged state, to continue.
