Abstract:
In order to equalize the voltage or the remaining capacity among power storage units while minimizing any increase in the circuit scale and cost, a voltage detection circuit (14) detects the voltage of a plurality of serially connected cells (VC1-VC8) in a power storage unit (10). A voltage detection circuit (14) receives a supply of a power supply voltage from both ends of the plurality of cells (VC1-VC8). A DC-DC converter (15) converts the voltage between the both ends of the plurality of cells (VC1-VC8) into another DC voltage (VCC). An adjustment circuit (16) adjusts the power consumption of the plurality of cells (VC1-VC8). The adjustment circuit (16) operates using the DC voltage (VCC) generated by the DC-DC converter (15) as the power supply voltage.
