Abstract:
A battery power supply apparatus comprises an AC power supply (10) and a secondary battery connected to the AC power supply (10). The battery power supply apparatus includes: a first switch that is formed between the battery (30) and the AC power supply (10) and that selectively connects or disconnects the battery (30) and the AC power supply (10); and a ground fault detecting means that is connected on the battery (30) side viewed from the first switch and that detects ground fault of the battery (30). When the first switch is in the off state, the ground fault detecting means detects the ground fault of the battery (30).
