Abstract:
Provided is a power supply system that comprises: a rotating electrical machine (21) that can perform power generation and power running; a switching circuit unit (22) that energizes the respective phases of the rotating electrical machine by turning a plurality of switching elements (Sp, Sn) ON and OFF; power storage units (11, 12) that are connected to the switching circuit unit; and switches (31, 32) that are provided along electrical paths between the switching circuit unit and the power storage units. A cutting unit (52a) that cuts an energizing path when an overcurrent flows to at least either one of the rotating electrical machine and the switching circuit unit. A power supply control device (23, 37, 40) comprises: an overcurrent determining unit that determines that an overcurrent has flowed on the basis of the results of a first determination that an energization current flowing to the switching circuit unit has increased to a prescribed overcurrent threshold (TH1) and a second determination that the current subsequently decreased; and a switch controlling unit that opens a switch on the basis of the determination results of the overcurrent determining unit.
