Abstract:
A power supply device (4) is provided with: a DC/DC converter (13) that is disposed between an input and a VBUS output; a primary-side controller (30) that controls an input current to the DC/DC converter; a signal conversion/switching circuit (25) that is coupled to a control input and performs signal conversion/switching; an output capacitor C0 that is connected in between the VBUS output and the signal conversion/switching circuit; and a secondary-side controller (16) that receives a control input signal that has undergone signal conversion/switching and feeds said signal back to the primary-side controller, said secondary-side controller being coupled to the signal conversion/switching circuit. On the basis of the control input signal fed back from the secondary-side controller, the primary-side controller controls the input current such that the output voltage value and the amount of outputtable current (MAX value) of the DC/DC converter are made variable. Thus a power supply device that is switchable in relation to a plurality of apparatuses and that can control the output voltage value and the amount of outputtable current is provided.
