Abstract:
A power source device (100) for a high frequency treatment instrument for treating body tissue is provided with an output unit (140), a distance information acquisition unit (112), a determination unit (116), and an output control unit (118). The output unit (140) supplies high frequency electricity to electrodes of the high frequency treatment instrument. The distance information acquisition unit (112) acquires distance information relating to the distance between the body tissue and the electrodes. The determination unit (116) determines whether or not the distance information satisfies a first condition. The output control unit (118) controls the output unit (140) so that when the distance information satisfies the first condition, the output of the output unit (140) is suppressed, and when a second condition is satisfied after the output is suppressed, the output is set to a first output level that is higher than the output level in the suppressed state.
