Abstract:
A power supply device that is capable of being connected, together with at least one other instrument, to a shared communication line. The power supply device is provided with a communication unit and a control unit. The communication unit is configured to transmit a signal indicating the presence of the power supply device to a first instrument from among the other instruments, the first instrument being connected to the power supply device, and to receive a signal indicating the presence of a second instrument from among the other instruments, the second instrument being connected to the power supply device, the latter signal being received from the second instrument. The control unit is configured to determine whether the power supply device is connected to an end part of the shared communication line, on the basis of whether the communication unit has received the signal indicating the presence of the second instrument.
