Abstract:
This power supply device is configured to be connected between a first DC power supply and a second DC power supply. The power supply device comprises: a first switch configured such that one end thereof is connected to the first DC power supply; a DC-DC converter having a first capacitor connected to the other end of the first switch; and a control unit configured to control the DC-DC converter and the first switch, and to detect a potential difference between the one end and the other end of the first switch. The DC-DC converter is configured to perform: a first action to convert a voltage stored by the first capacitor to a second voltage and output the converted second voltage to the second DC power supply; and/or a second action to convert the second voltage supplied and held by the second DC power supply to a third voltage and output the converted third voltage to the first capacitor. The control unit is configured to: detect a potential difference after issuing an instruction to shut off the first switch and causing the DC-DC converter to perform the first action or the second action; and determine that, when the detected potential difference is greater than a reference potential difference, the first switch is normal.
