Abstract:
Provided are a power supply device and a power supply system for detecting electric leaks caused by short-circuiting between harnesses that supply power having different voltage values. A first power supply line 4 is provided for supplying power having a first voltage value from a junction box 10 to first loads 3, and a second power supply line 8 is provided for supplying power having a second voltage value from the junction box 10 to second loads 7. In the first power supply line 4, the junction box 10 and the first loads 3 are connected through two electric cables each: a positive-side electric cable 5 and a negative-side electric cable 6. In the second power supply line 8, the junction box 10 and the second loads 7 are connected by one positive-side electric cable each. The junction box 10 determines whether or not there are any electric leaks in the first power supply line 4 by using electric current sensors 15, each of which senses the differential between the amount of electric current flowing out to the respective positive-side electric cable 5, and the amount of electric current flowing in from the negative-side electric cable 6 corresponding to that positive-side electric cable 5.
