Abstract:
The present invention keeps high-temperature exhaust from damaging a not-heat-resistant material of a circuit board, battery block, or the like and thereby ensures a high level of safety, even when exhaust valves are open. A power supply device in which a not-heat-resistant material (10) of a circuit board (4) or of any of a plurality of secondary batteries (1) that have an exhaust valve on an exhaust-side end surface (1A) is arranged to face a battery block (3) in which the secondary batteries (1) are arranged in fixed positions by a battery holder (2). An air layer (5) and a heat-insulating layer (8) that is not deformed by exhaust gas from the exhaust valves and thereby has heat-insulating properties are arranged between the battery block (3) and the not-heat-resistant material (10), the air layer (5) being arranged on the battery block (3) side. The heat-insulating layer (8) and a molten layer (7) form a heat-blocking layer (6) that has a laminate structure. The heat-blocking layer (6) protects the not-heat-resistant material (10) from exhaust gas that is discharged into the air layer (5).
