Abstract:
Obtained is a power supply device capable of discharging an input capacitor while being reduced in size. The power supply device according to the present invention is provided with: a switching circuit capable of performing a switching operation on the basis of the voltage of an input capacitor; a rectifier circuit capable of performing a rectifying operation on the basis of the output voltage of the switching circuit; a smoothing circuit capable of smoothing the output voltage of the rectifier circuit; a discharge circuit having one or a plurality of first resistive elements and a first switch, said resistive elements being connected in series in a path between an output node of the smoothing circuit and a reference node thereof; and a control circuit capable of, in a first operation mode, causing the switching circuit to perform the switching operation and bringing the first switch into an on-state.
