Abstract:
The present invention provides a power supply drive circuit and a television device, both of which enable suppression of inrush current and decrease in the operation frequency of a relay circuit without increasing power consumption. Provided is a power supply drive circuit (2) that is connected to a commercial AC power supply (3) and capable of driving a DC load circuit (4). This power supply drive circuit has: a rectification circuit (10) which converts AC power from the commercial AC power supply, into DC power; a capacitor (11) which is connected to the rectification circuit and which smooths the voltage of the converted DC power; a thermistor (12) which is disposed between the commercial AC power supply and the capacitor; a relay circuit (13) which is connected in parallel with respect to the thermistor; and a driving power determination unit (33) which determines whether or not the power required for driving the DC load circuit is a prescribed value or less. The relay circuit is turned ON according to a determination result of the driving power determination unit.
