Abstract:
An EL lamp (35) is driven by a power supply (10) including a voltage boost circuit (11) and a low power inverter (12). The boost circuit includes a level shifting capacitor (18) to provide voltage doubling. The inverter includes an inductor (32) and at least one transistor (31) connected in series between the output of the boost circuit and ground.
