Abstract:
A power supply method and device. The method comprises: detecting mounting states of auxiliary batteries at auxiliary battery positions, and determining auxiliary batteries currently in an inserted state (S201); obtaining voltages of the batteries; and selecting a first battery having a highest voltage, as a current power supply battery, and supplying power to a terminal by means of the current power supply battery (S203). In the prior art, a terminal merely has a battery, and the terminal is still powered by the battery even though the electric quantity of the battery is very low, which affects normal use of the product. In the power supply method and device, a main battery and multiple pluggable auxiliary batteries can be mounted in a terminal, and the terminal can be powered by a first battery having a largest electric quantity. In this way, it can be ensured that a solution of selecting a power supply battery is always an optimal solution, that is, the battery supplying power to the terminal is always a battery having a largest electric quantity among available batteries, thereby better ensuring normal work of the terminal finally.
