Abstract:

The present invention relates to a power supply system for lighting (4) furniture, said system being equipped with at least one conducting bar (1) that is located on one side of one or more cabinet base(s) (5) which is/are provided with lighting (4). The cabinet base or bases (5) can be reversibly secured to the item of furniture by means of a cylindrical peg (2) and the lighting (4) on the cabinet base(s) (5) is in conductive contact with the at least one bar (1). The at least one bar (1) has a multi-pole current-carrying capacity comprising a positive and a negative pole. Several axially oriented, conducting surfaces (2a; 2b; 2c) that are independent of one another and electrically insulated are provided for multi-pole current carrying and are mutually spaced around the circumference of the at least one cylindrical peg. Spring or spring-loaded current contacts (1a; 1b) are located on the at least one bar (1) at a distance from one another for receiving the at least one cylindrical peg (2) and providing the latter with a multi-pole current. Spring or spring-loaded contacts (3a; 3b) are located on the cabinet base or bases (5) or on the lighting (4) for receiving the at least one cylindrical peg (2) and providing the latter with a multi-pole current.
