A power supply system for a vehicle comprises: a power generator (1); a rectifier (2) for rectifying the AC power of the power generator (1) and outputting to a power generation bus line (A); a battery (4); an electric storage device (6); a first DC/DC converter (5) for performing control so that power generation bus line voltage (Va) maintains a predetermined voltage target value; a second DC/DC converter (7) of a current control type for performing control so that input or output current maintains a predetermined current target value; and a control circuit (8) for controlling the power generator (1), the first DC/DC converter (5), and the second DC/DC converter (7). The control circuit (8) determines the current target value (Iref) of the second DC/DC converter (7) on the basis of at least one of the power generation bus line voltage (Va) and a battery bus line voltage (Vb) and performs control so that the input or output current of the second DC/DC converter (7) maintains the current target value (Iref). When charging or discharging the electric storage device (6), the control circuit (8) also controls the power generated by the power generator (1), according to the voltage value of the electric storage device (6).
