Abstract:
Provided is a power supply system with which it is possible to determine the power flow direction of power from a system power supply and easily control the operation of a fuel cell or a hydrogen generation unit. The power supply system (1) is provided with: a hydrogen generation unit for generating hydrogen by means of power generated by a PV, which generates power upon receiving renewable energy; a hydrogen tank for storing hydrogen generated by the hydrogen generator; an FC for generating power using the hydrogen stored in the hydrogen tank; a power line (18) for connecting a system power supply and the PV, a load being connected through a connection point (19) provided between the system power supply and the PV, and the FC being connected between the load and the connection point (19); a current detector and a voltage detector provided between the system power supply and the connection point (19), the current detector and the voltage detector detecting the power flow direction of the power from the system power supply; and an EMS for controlling the operation of the hydrogen generator or the FC on the basis of the power flow direction detected by the current detector and the voltage detector.
