Abstract:
This power transmission apparatus (20) installed on-board a vehicle includes a coolant supply line (60) constituted such that a hydraulic oil is supplied as a cooling medium towards a drive pinion gear (44) to the outlet side of the meshing section when the vehicle drives forward past the meshing section of the drive pinion gear (44) and a diff ring gear (45). The coolant supply line (60) has a coolant spray part (61) having two coolant spray ports (61o) for spraying the hydraulic oil towards the drive pinion gear (44), one of the two coolant spray ports (61o) being situated in proximity to one end face(44a) of the drive pinion gear (44), and the other being situated in proximity to the other end face (44b) of the drive pinion gear (44).
