A power transmission chain and a power transmission device. The power transmission chain (1) comprises a plurality of link units (51, 52, 53) arranged parallel with each other in the chain advancing direction (X1) and a plurality of connection members (50) connecting these link units (51, 52, 53) to each other. Each of the link units (51, 52, 53) further comprises a plurality of links (2) arranged parallel with each other in the chain lateral direction (W1). Each of the connection members (50) further comprises first and second power transmission members (3, 4). According to the bending of the chain (1), the chain is moved while either of the first and second power transmission members (3, 4) is brought into contact with the other power transmission member in the contact state of including at least one of rolling contact and sliding contact. The numbers of the links (2) of the link units (51, 52, 53) are equal to each other and even numbers.
