Abstract:

The present invention limits the increase in cutoff torque of power transmission devices provided with a torque limiter function and limits damage to components. A power transmission device configured so that: the clamped parts (32c) of an elastic member (30) are press-clamped between the flange (22) of a hub (20) that is fixed to the shaft (2) of a compressor and the respective pressing parts (40b) of a pressing member (40) that is fastened to the hub (20) with rivets (41); and when an overload occurs on the shaft (2), and rotation is restricted, and a torque exceeding a prescribed torque occurs between a pulley (10) and the hub (20), the clamped parts (32c) slip out from between the respective pressing parts (40b) and the flange (22) of the hub (20) and cuts off the transmission of motive power. The friction torque of the clamped parts (32c) is set high by disposing the fastening points of the rivets (41) on lines that tie the center of shaft (2) rotation to protuberances (32d) and by increasing the spring constant of the pressing member (40).
